Our Jar Placement Utility desktop application was developed to help you get the most from your HMJ, HMDA, HJDA and fishing jars. Calculate impact and impulse relative to jar-to-bit length using variables specific to your run and identify your optimal jar placement.
The application can be used for vertical, directional and horizontal drilling. It can also calculate accelerator placement.

Double-Acting Hydraulic Accelerator
The Wenzel Double-Acting Hydraulic Jar Accelerator (DAHA) is a hydraulic spring that stores energy when tension or compression is applied to the drilling string. Our double-acting accelerator variation is used to enhance the operation of double-acting drilling jars.

Hydraulic Jar Accelerator (Single-Acting)
Smooth, impactful jarring at any depth or deviation
Our hydraulic jar accelerator (HJA) is a single-acting hydraulic spring that stores energy when tension or compression is applied to the drilling string. During the jarring stroke, the accelerator’s stored energy is released to accelerate the drill collars and the jar, intensifying the jarring impact.
The HJA is designed to work with our lineup of single-acting drilling jars.
