American Made Firearms Components

WZL Industries provides production-grade precision machining for firearms OEMs, defense suppliers and established manufacturers seeking a dependable domestic production partner. From our facility in Jefferson, Wisconsin, we manufacture complex aluminum and steel components with the repeatability, process control and delivery discipline required for long-term firearms programs.
WZL Industries holds a Type 7 Federal Firearms License and is qualified to manufacture both serialized and non-serialized firearm components. We are not entering the firearms market—we already support active production programs, including trigger housings, rails and hammer components.
A licensed firearms manufacturing partner
Firearms manufacturing requires more than access to CNC equipment. It demands careful process control, consistent tolerances, reliable documentation and the ability to reproduce the same results across hundreds or thousands of components.
Our Type 7 FFL allows WZL Industries to serve as a capable manufacturing partner for OEMs that require licensed production support. Combined with more than 45 years of precision manufacturing experience and an ISO 9001:2015-certified quality management system, this makes WZL a strong fit for established platforms, new production programs and secondary-source initiatives.
Active firearms production experience
WZL Industries currently manufactures components for active firearms programs. Our team understands the importance of dimensional consistency, surface finish, production traceability and dependable delivery across repeat-volume orders.
Current program experience includes:
- Trigger housings and trigger group components
- Rails and handguard interface components
- Hammer and firing mechanism components
This experience gives customers a manufacturing partner that already understands the expectations of the firearms industry—not a general machine shop learning them for the first time.
Components we are equipped to manufacture
Our horizontal machining capabilities are well suited to complex prismatic parts requiring multi-face machining, tight positional relationships and repeatable production.
Target components include:
- Upper and lower receivers in aluminum or steel
- Trigger housings and trigger group components
- Rails and handguard interface components
- Hammer and firing mechanism components
- Chassis systems and action bodies
- Bolt carrier group components
- Optic mounts and machined mounting interfaces
- Suppressor housings and end caps
- Structural defense equipment housings
Every opportunity is evaluated according to its material, geometry, tolerance, regulatory and production requirements.
Repeat production specialists
WZL Industries is structured for repeat, program-based manufacturing rather than one-off prototype work. Our ideal programs typically involve annual volumes of approximately 500 to more than 10,000 units, particularly for complex aluminum or steel components connected to long-life product platforms.
Customers work with us for:
Precision tolerances
We maintain consistent dimensional control across repeat-volume runs, helping OEMs protect assembly performance, interchangeability and finished-product quality.
Horizontal machining
Our palletized horizontal machining systems support multi-face production, reduced handling and efficient manufacturing of complex components.
Production repeatability
Documented processes, controlled tooling and disciplined inspection help us reproduce results from one order to the next.
Secondary-source capacity
WZL can support dual-source strategies, supplier transitions, overflow requirements and capacity constraints within an OEM’s existing supply chain.
