There’s a quiet kind of pride that comes with doing something well, year after year. This fall, that pride has a number attached: Eight consecutive years of successfully completing our ISO 9001:2015 audit without nonconformities.

This year’s audit also marked the first time our Jefferson, Wisconsin location was included in the scope, bringing our people, processes and standards under one connected quality program.

A Bigger Team, a Bigger Test

Adding a new site to the audit pushed us to ensure that a shared commitment to quality holds up across all of our teams, products and customer needs regardless of location.

Over several days, the auditor reviewed how our processes work in practice, from leadership and planning to production, inspection, purchasing, training, maintenance, and shipping. The conclusion was clear: Our management system is effectively implemented and maintained, and continued certification was recommended.

A few themes stood out in the auditor’s review:

  • A centralized quality program that works. Our sites share common customers and design support, so a unified approach to quality makes sense. The audit recognized the progress we’ve made linking locally developed process controls to a central framework.
  • Local strengths, shared lessons. Each site tailors its programs to the needs of its own customers, and what each location learns is shared and reviewed at the leadership level.
  • Clear goals and honest tracking. Site-level performance indicators tied to our risks and opportunities are reviewed by each team and escalated for continual improvement.
  • A culture of follow-through. Issues raised in past audits were checked for effective closure, and the auditor found no unresolved items from this one.

Thank You

Results like these don’t happen by accident. They happen because people care about the details every single day.

To our Quality Assurance team: Thank you for the documentation, follow-up, patient answers to hard questions, and the steady standard you hold us to. You make compliance look easy, though we know it isn’t.

To our facility managers: Thank you for keeping your sites organized, your teams trained and your equipment maintained. When an auditor walks the floor, it’s your leadership they see.

And to every team member who follows a procedure, flags a concern, or double-checks a part before it ships, this is your achievement too.

Looking Ahead

Eight years in, we’re not treating ISO 9001 as a finish line. It’s a framework that helps us deliver for our customers consistently, and it keeps us honest about getting better. With our newest location now part of the process, we’re looking forward to the next audit and to what we’ll learn between now and then.

Thank you to our customers, partners, and team for trusting us to get it right.
