JEFFERSON, Wis. — July 14, 2026 — Local precision machine shop Wenzel Industries (WZL) officially celebrated the start of its next chapter in Jefferson with a grand opening and ribbon cutting ceremony hosted in partnership with the Jefferson Chamber of Commerce.
The ribbon cutting ceremony brought together WZL employees, community leaders, and representatives from the Jefferson Chamber of Commerce to celebrate the company’s continued investment in Jefferson and its commitment to strengthening relationships within the local business community.

While the Wenzel name is new to Jefferson, the company’s roots in the community extend back more than four decades. The facility first opened in 1980 as Anderson Machining before rebranding as Basin Precision Machining in 2015. Ten years later, through a merger with Wenzel Downhole Tools of Edmonton, Canada, Wenzel Industries was born.
“Those who are familiar with us know that we’ve been doing great work here for over 40 years,” said Dominic Frinzi, General Manager of WZL Jefferson. “We are proud to carry forward the legacy first established by Anderson Machining while investing in our community and American manufacturing. Joining the Jefferson Chamber of Commerce is an important step as we continue building relationships with local businesses.”

Today, WZL combines precision CNC machining, engineering expertise, advanced manufacturing capabilities, and specialized products to serve customers across a wide range of industries, including (but not limited to) automotive, aerospace, firearms, and oil and gas. The merger of the two WZL shops unite the strengths of Wisconsin precision manufacturing expertise with WZL Edmonton’s long history of high-quality industrial manufacturing. The result is a larger manufacturing platform that supports customers throughout North America with expanded capacity, technical expertise, and industry-leading quality.
